Help grow electric vehicle chargers and electric transportation across Vermont.
This grant, made possible by the Department of Housing and Community Development, is here to help you cover almost all the cost to install EV chargers for the employees of your business or residents of your multi-unit dwelling.
If you are in the early stages of planning an EV charging installation and need support, please complete the pre-application to the best of your ability and we will help you receive the technical assistance you need.
This is an ongoing, statewide grant and some counties have reached their maximum available funding. Funding is available for workplace employee or multi-unit residence EV charging in: Addison, Bennington, Caledonia, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Rutland, and Windsor counties and is limited, so please apply now.
Requirements and Funding Amounts
- If you are women or minority owned, you will have a 0% match.
- If you are a non-profit, government agency or multiunit dwellings with 50% or more affordable housing units, you will have a 5% applicant match.
- If you are a for-profit organization, or a multiunit dwelling with 51% or more market rate units, you will have a 10% applicant match.

Please note that this is a preliminary application and that submission of this form does not guarantee grant funding will be awarded. You will receive a confirmation email from info@chargevermont.com with next steps.
If you have multiple locations for EVSE, please submit one form for each location.
Vermont EV Chargers is a program for customers of all electric utilities in Vermont, funded by the State of Vermont and administered by Green Mountain Power.
