Charge Vermont is offering grants to offset the cost of adding EV charging for employees at workplaces, residents of multi-unit residences, and visitors to public community attractions. Charge Vermont grants could cover about 90%-100% of the cost of installing a Level-1 or Level-2 Charger.
This is an ongoing, statewide grant with a maximum available funding limit for each county and for each project site type. In August 2026, the maximum funding available for Public Attraction sites was increased to $125,000 per county and the maximum percentage of total grant funds available to any one county was increased from 10% to 30%. Applicants that had been previously denied due to a lack of funding were notified of this program adjustment and given the opportunity to re-open their application to be reviewed in the order it was originally received.
